A comedy romance movie looking at eight couples at various differing points in their relationships and each having conversations immediately after klapping the horizontal naked salsa. The movie addresses the complexities that make up modern-day relationships and explores the intimacy and vulnerability that goes along with it.
I had to look this up but the D part in this 16LSD warning stands for substance abuse. Don’t do LSD!
This is a real fun comedy movie. It stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel (that dude from How I Met Your Mother) as Annie and Jay. They’ve been married for more than a decade and have two kids. They used to be hot for each other and feel that they need to re-ignite that flame. The spark comes in the form of (as the title suggests) a sex tape. The grab their copy of The Joy of Sex and try out every single position in front of the camera in a three-hour sex marathon session. Best idea ever, until they discover that their most private video is no longer private. Jay fokken uploaded it to the cloud and shared it with some friends and family. Oh, and the mail man. Groot kak! Reputations on the line, they race to reclaim their video and it leads to a a lot of situations they’ll never forget. Not the most engaging storyline ever, but really a fuck load of fun and belly laugh moments.

From Straight A’s to XXX
From the title you should gather what this movie is about. What you don’t know is that is a biography. This drama follows the story of college student, Mirriam Weeks who falls on hard times due to a change of circumstances. Unable to pay for her college tuition she makes the difficult decision to turn to the porn industry to fund her studies, obviously living a secret double life, hiding her porn ‘career’ from her friends and conservatives parents. She can only hide under her pseudonym, Belle Knox, for so long and rumors start spreading, leading to vicious online attacks which eventually leads to he being shunned, even by her colleagues in the adult film world.

I was unaware of this program and the kak it caused 15 years ago. Sex Etc gives viewers a new perspective on sex and is presented by media personality, Mark Pilgrim and sexologist, Dr Elna Rudolph. It is an important show that deals with sexual health and other sex related issues, but Pick ‘n Pay didn’t see it that way back in 2005. Pilgrim was working for them on a promotional show called Retail Therapy and het got fired because how dare you talk about sex on Mnet?

The Girlfriend Experience
This series is based on the 2009 Steven Soderberg movie of the same name and follows several women who lead double lives as high end professional ladies of the night in Washington D.C. in the days leading up the to presidential election. The escorts’ provide much more than just sex. You are probably going to binge this one.

Mrs. Fletcher
Katherine Hahn stars as Eve, a divorcee whose son has just left for college and she has to start building a life of her own, and experiences a personal and sexual awakening. It is a coming of age story of a divorcée undergoing a mid-life crisis. It has a rating of 18SNL, but I’ll sommer gooi in a ‘fragile masculinity’ warning as well: okes who suffer with their male egos won’t survive this one.

A voyeuristic docuseries that takes a closer look at various sexual and erotic experiences. I’ll drop some episode names and you make up your own mind:

Nymphomaniac Vol. 1 and vol. 2
This is a really weird title because it sounds like a double volume of encyclopedias or a documentary of sorts. It is actually a movie which came out in 2013 in two parts of around two hours in length each. In Volume 1, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, Joe (played by Charlotte Gainsbourg) recounts her erotic experiences to the man (Seligman, played by Stellan Skarsgård) who saved her after a beating. In Volume 2 the continuation of Joe’s sexually dictated life delves into the darker aspects of her adulthood, her obsessions and what led to her being in Seligman’s care.
A very strong 18VSNL
Harlots
Margaret Wells is a brothel owner but also a mother of two daughters. Her business comes under attack from a ruthless rival and Margaret find herself fighting at all costs, even if it means losing her family and possibly her life. It is a raunchy story set in 18th century London, filled with cunning people, sex and revenge in a seedy underworld.
